DHODH Drives Sunitinib Resistance Via a Non‐Enzymatic Mechanism by Inhibiting TRIM28 Ubiquitination and Consequent VEGFA Activation in RCC

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This non‑enzymatic function of DHODH drives sunitinib resistance by competing with TRIM37 to block TRIM28 ubiquitination, thereby stabilizing TRIM28 and activating VEGFA transcription. Disrupting the DHODH–TRIM28 interaction with lisaftoclax restores drug sensitivity.

Persistent expression of Cotesia plutellae bracovirus genes in parasitized host, Plutella xylostella.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2018
Cotesia plutellae (= vestalis) bracovirus (CpBV) is symbiotic to an endoparasitoid wasp, C. plutellae, and plays crucial roles in parasitism against the diamondback moth, Plutella xylostella.

Highly Stabilized Ni‐Rich Cathodes Enabled by Artificially Reversing Naturally‐Formed Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 15, Issue 11, March 18, 2025.
The application of Ni‐rich cathode materials is obstructed by interfacial and structural instability. This work proposes a facile and cost‐effective Al‐based vapor‐phase surface reaction strategy on Ni‐rich cathode to maintain its structural integrity from near‐surface to bulk.

Comparative Analysis of HaSNPV-AC53 and Derived Strains

open access: yesViruses, 2016
Complete genome sequences of two Australian isolates of H. armigera single nucleopolyhedrovirus (HaSNPV) and nine strains isolated by plaque selection in tissue culture identified multiple polymorphisms in tissue culture-derived strains compared to the ...

Machine Learning Driven Inverse Design of Broadband Acoustic Superscattering

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Multilayer acoustic superscatterers are designed using machine learning to achieve broadband superscattering and strong sound insulation. By incorporating a weighted mean absolute error into the loss function, the forward and inverse neural networks accurately map structural parameters to spectral responses.

The HCMV‐encoded miR‐UL36‐3p promotes angiogenesis of endothelial cells by downregulating FOXO3

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This illustration shows the role of hcmv‐miR‐UL36‐3p in endothelial cell angiogenesis. During productive infection, endothelial cells express HCMV‐encoded miRNAs. Viral hcmv‐miR‐UL36‐3p promotes endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and capillary tube formation by directly targeting and downregulating FOXO3. The pro‐angiogenic activity of hcmv‐miR‐

Systematic disruption of 456 ORFs in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yes, 2000
In the framework of the European Network for Functional Analysis (EUROFAN), five packages of 96 ORFs from chromosomes III, IV, VII, XIII, XIV and XV were subjected to systematic deletions in an isogenic derivative of strain S288c, Deletions were ...

Role of soft tissue and bone interactions in the developmental integration and modularity of the skull in neural crest‐specific gap junction alpha‐1 knockout mice

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract The vertebrate skull is composed of bones derived from neural crest cells and mesoderm. The evolutionary capacity of the skull has been linked, in part, to the emergence of neural crest cells; however, this increased capacity for evolutionary change requires that variation within neural crest‐ and mesoderm‐derived bones remains partly ...
