Corrosion protection of carbon steel by an epoxy resin containing organically modified clay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
This study focusses on the use of montmorillonite clay (MMT) treated with an organic compound (aminotrimethylphosphonic acid (ATMP)) and dispersed in an epoxy resin to improve corrosion protection of carbon steel.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

Investigation the Deterioration Process of Organic Coating Using Changing Rate of Phase Angle at High Frequency United to Neural Network

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) of an organic coating system in 3.5% NaCl solution was measured and a new parameter k(f) named changing rate of phase angle at high frequency is extracted directly from Bode plots.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.

Using Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy Sinusoidal Potential Amplitude to Assess the Efficiency of Niobium Oxide Based Organic Coating in Oil Wells Produced Water

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2016
The oil industry coexists with damages caused by corrosion of materials in almost all areas of activity. Recent discoveries in Brazil of potential oil reserves at deeper waters, commonly named “pre-salt oil layer”, may represent severe conditions leading

Delaminated areas beneath organic coating: A local electrochemical impedance approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Local electrochemical impedance mapping was used to investigate delamination phenomena at the steel/epoxy-vinyl primer interface. The delamination occurred from an artificial defect(cutter scribing) and from ageing in a salt spray chamber.

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Relationship between carrier density and corrosion behavior of acrylic polyurethane coated galvanized steel system in 3.5% NaCl solution

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2019
Carrier density (CD) was adopted to investigate the corrosion process of acrylic polyurethane-coated galvanized steel in 3.5% NaCl solution by using the Mott-Schottky (M-S) analysis technique.

Efficiency of photodesorption of Rb atoms collected on polymer organic film in vapor-cell

open access: yes, 2011
The efficiency of photodesorption of Rb atoms previously collected on polymer organic film has been studied in detail. This study was carried out in a Pyrex glass cell of which the inner surface was covered with (poly)dimethylsiloxane (PDMS) film and ...
