Extreme H isotopic anomalies in chondritic organic matter [PDF]
Extract from introduction: We have conducted ionprobe (IMS6f and NanoSIMS) imaging studies of various samples for H, D, C, 14N and 15N. These will ultimately be correlated with micro-analytic techniques such as FIB/TEM or STXM/XANES.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

A Dy2 Complex Constructed by TCNQ·− Radical Anions with Slow Magnetic Relaxation Behavior
A centrosymmetric dinuclear complex, [Dy2(H2dapp)2(μ-OH)2(H2O)2]·4TCNQ·2CH3OH, was synthesized using the TCNQ·− radical anion (TCNQ = 7,7,8,8-tetracyanoquino-dimethane) and pentadentate nitrogen-containing Schiff base ligand (H2dapp = 2,6 ...

The inhibition of mitochondrial dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) impairs syncytialization and induces cellular senescence via mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum stress in human trophoblast stem cells, elevating sFlt1/PlGF levels, a hallmark of placental dysfunction in hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Predicting nitrogen mineralization from soil organic matter - a chimera? [PDF]
Predicting nitrogen (N) mineralization from soil organic matter is difficult because N mineralization is affected by several environmental factors, while being the net outcome of concurrent N processes that produce and consume mineral N.

Meta‐analysis fails to show any correlation between protein abundance and ubiquitination changes
We analyzed over 50 published proteomics datasets to explore the relationship between protein levels and ubiquitination changes across multiple experimental conditions and biological systems. Although ubiquitination is often associated with protein degradation, our analysis shows that changes in ubiquitination do not globally correlate with changes in ...

Temporal dynamic of trace elements in soils amended with contaminated organic wastes [PDF]
Applications of so-called organic wastes are recommended in agriculture where the organic matter content of soil is low. However, before applying organic wastes to soil it is essential to assess that these materials do not pose any hazard to humans ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.
