Surface Engineering of Ti3C2Tx MXenes via Silanol Functionalization for Improved Electrochemical Performance

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
This study explores the covalent functionalization of Ti3C2Tx using 5,5′‐bis(triisopropoxysilyl)‐2,2′‐bipyridine in different solvents, revealing that only m‐xylene enables effective covalent bonding, ensuring structural stability and preventing layer swelling.

Mechanisms of action of the organophosphorus fungicide pyrazophos

open access: yes, 1974
In plant protection organophosphorus compounds are well-known for their insecticidal and acaricidal action. Since 1960, a number of organophosphorus fungicides have also been introduced.

Strain‐Mediated Anisotropic Growth of Metal–Organic Framework Belts

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
An aqueous, one‐pot synthesis redirects layered ZIF‐L from conventional leaf morphology to high–aspect‐ratio belts (∼ 10) by pH‐controlled anisotropic growth, with magnetic nanoparticles decorating the platelet surfaces (MZIF‐L), improving phase stability during post‐synthetic handling.

The Generics Revolution and the New Economic Geography of the Global Pesticide Industry

open access: yesJournal of Agrarian Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global pesticide industry transformed from one dominated by patented products and legacy multinationals with strong manufacturing bases in the United States and EU to one dominated by generic products produced in India and China. We use proprietary market research data, data from regulatory filings, industry press and bilateral trade data ...

Plasma Pharmacokinetic Profile of Fipronil 1% Pour‐On in Cattle: Photodegradation and the Sustained Systemic Persistence of Fipronil Sulfone

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Pharmacology and Therapeutics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study characterized the long‐term pharmacokinetic profile of a 1% fipronil pour‐on formulation in Nellore bulls under field conditions. Seventeen animals received a single topical dose (1 mg/kg), and plasma concentrations of fipronil and its metabolites (sulfone and desulfinyl) were monitored for 175 days using LC–MS/MS.

Expression of organophosphorus-degradation gene(opd) in aggregating and non-aggregating filamentous nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Genetic engineering in filamentous N2-fixing cyanobacteria usually involves Anabaena sp.PCC 7120 and several other non-aggregating species.Mass culture and harvest of such species are more energy consuming relative to aggregating species. To establish a ...

Engineered Metal–Organic Frameworks‐Based Materials for Environmental Detection

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
Engineered metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) regulated by various material modification strategies are discussed for environmental contaminant detection under different sensing mechanisms, providing future improvements of MOFs in environmental detection. Sensitive and selective detection of contaminants is crucial for environmental protection.

Prevalence, Risk Factors and Correlates of Deliberate Self‐Harm Behaviors in Bangladesh: A Narrative Review of Cross‐Sectional Studies (1995–2025)

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Deliberate self‐harm (DSH) is a significant but underreported public health concern in Bangladesh, driven by mental health stigma, cultural and legal barriers, and absence of national data. Despite clear links to multiple risk factors, the prevalence and determinants of DSH lack systematic exploration. This narrative review
