The Impact of Microwaves on Organophosphorus Chemistry [PDF]

open access: bronzeThe Chemical Record, 2018
AbstractA personal account on the pioneering results on microwave (MW)‐assisted organophosphorus syntheses obtained in the last decade is presented. The broad spectrum of the reactions studied exemplifies the advantages of the MW technique as a green tool regarding efficiency and the simplification of catalyst systems.

ChemInform Abstract: Organophosphorus Chemistry Today

ChemInform, 1987
Abstract It is always instructive to recall the great names of chemistry and their contributions. This is particularly so in organophosphorus chemistry for within a dozen names one can review a century of endeavour in this field.

Organophosphorus chemistry

ChemInform, 2004
Abstract The impact of organophosphorus chemistry on modern synthetic chemistry is difficult to quantify, but one can safely assume that the study of this element has influenced all areas of chemical endeavour. Organophosphorus chemistry, as a discrete area of study, is the study of compounds containing a C − P bond and this book is ...

Studies in organophosphorus chemistry

Tetrahedron, 1971
Abstract The reaction of tertiary phosphine dichlorides and dibromides with epoxides gives vicinal dihalides. The reaction involves initial cleavage of the epoxide carbon—oxygen bond emanating from the most highly substituted epoxide carbon. Haloalkoxyphosphonium salts are thus formed which undergo subsequent reaction giving vicinal dihalides and ...

Organophosphorus Chemistry

2005
Organophosphorus Chemistry provides a comprehensive annual review of the literature. Coverage includes phosphines and their chalcogenides, phosphonium salts, low coordination number phosphorus compounds, penta- and hexa-coordinated compounds, tervalent phosphorus acids, nucleotides and nucleic acids, ylides and related compounds, and phosphazenes.

Green Chemical Tools in Organophosphorus Chemistry—Organophosphorus Tools in Green Chemistry

Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Silicon and the Related Elements, 2011
Abstract A variety of reactions including esterifications, alkylations, additions, cycloadditions, fragmentations, and condensations were carried out under microwave MW-assisted and solventless conditions, occasionally in ionic liquids (ILs). In a few cases, MW was synergic with phase transfer catalysis or could substitute it.
