Organoplatinum Compounds as Anion‐Tuneable Uphill Hydroxide Transporters [PDF]
AbstractActive transport of ions uphill, creating a concentration gradient across a cell membrane, is essential for life. It remains a significant challenge to develop synthetic systems that allow active uphill transport. Here, a transport process fuelled by organometallic compounds is reported that creates a pH gradient.

Design, Synthesis, Characterization, and Antiproliferative Activity of Organoplatinum Compounds Bearing a 1,2,3-Triazole Ring [PDF]
The syntheses, characterizations, and biological activities of three organoplatinum compounds, each containing a triazole ring, are discussed. These organometallic compounds demonstrate superior cytotoxicity against osteosarcoma and human breast cancer cells relative to cisplatin, a well-known chemotherapeutic agent used for chemotherapy.

Capture of Singlet Oxygen Modulates Host‐Guest Behavior of Coordination Cages
A range of anthracene‐based tetrahedral capsules have been shown to react with photogenerated singlet oxygen in a hetero‐Diels–Alder reaction. The cage cycloadducts were found to bind an array of guest molecules more weakly than their precursor cages, offering a novel method for stimuli‐driven guest uptake and release. Abstract The anthracene panels of

Organoplatinum‐Bridged Cyclotribenzylene Dimers
Asymmetric cyclotribenzylenes (CTBs) incorporating an alkynyl and two nitrile functions were reacted with cis‐[PtL2Cl2] (L=PEt3 or L2=1,3‐bis(diphenylphosphino)propane) to afford Pt‐bridged CTB dimers. When CuI was used as synthetic auxiliary, (Pt, Cu) binuclear complexes in which a CuCl/CuI moiety was π‐coordinated to the platinum‐bound bis‐alkynyl ...

Sheathed Molecular Junctions for Unambiguous Determination of Charge‐Transport Properties
Encapsulation of molecular wires: determination of ‘true’ single molecule conductance // formation of large area molecular devices composed of extended arrays of single‐molecules. Abstract Future applications of single‐molecular and large‐surface area molecular devices require a thorough understanding and control of molecular junctions, interfacial ...

Visualization of supramolecular assembly by aggregation‐induced emission
Given the advantages of aggregation‐induced emission (AIE), the real‐time, sensitive, and in situ visualization of the formation of self‐assemblies and their stimuli responsiveness is accessible. Here, we review recent advances in the visualization of supramolecular assembly processes and their further dynamic behaviors by AIE techniques.
