Investigation of the Effective Catalyst for Organosolv Pretreatment of Liriodendron tulipifera [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Korean Wood Science and Technology, 2010
ABSTRACT Organosolv pretreatments which utilized sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide and ammonia as catalysts were conducted to screen the effective catalyst for organosolv pretreatment of Liriodendron tulipifera. The enzy-matic hydrolysis was achieved effectively with sulfuric acid (74.2%) and sodium hydroxide (63.7%).

Insights of Ethanol Organosolv Pretreatment on Lignin Properties of Broussonetia papyrifera

open access: yes, 2018
Delignification of Broussonetia papyrifera during ethanol organosolv pretreatment was studied. Milled wood lignin (MWL), the ethanol organosolv lignin recovered at 5 min (PL5), 10 min (PL10), and 60 min (PL60) during the pretreatment, and the residual ...

From Wet Chemistry to Portable NIR: Robust High‐Throughput Compositional Models for Biomass Pretreatment

open access: yesJournal of Chemometrics, Volume 40, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT This study demonstrates a robust chemometric framework for high‐throughput compositional analysis of lignocellulosic biomass using a portable near‐infrared (NIR) spectrometer. Sugarcane bagasse solids produced by pressurized solvent fractionation (PSF) under batch and continuous conditions were analyzed to predict cellulose, hemicellulose, and
