A Highly Sterically Encumbered Boron Lewis Acid Enabled by an Organotellurium‐Based Ligand
The new boron Lewis acid B[OTeF3(C6F5)2]3 combines one of the most sterically encumbered boron centres with a Lewis acidity comparable to that of B(C6F5)3. It additionally provides ligand transfer reactivity towards fluoride compounds as shown in the synthesis of an Au(III) complex and a hypervalent iodine species. Abstract Lewis acidic boron compounds

Aggregation‐induced emission polymers via reversible‐deactivation radical polymerization
Aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) active polymers have a wide range of practical applications, and one of the important methods for the design and synthesis of AIE polymers is the use of reversible‐deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP) techniques.

Synthesis of 1,3-diynes via detelluration of bis(ethynyl)tellurides [PDF]
The synthesis of symmetric conjugated diyne systems with electron-withdrawing or electron-donating substituents via a palladium-catalyzed detelluration of bis(arylethynyl)tellurides and bis(alkylethynyl)tellurides is described. This procedure is effected

A perylene diimide derivative is synthesized and used as photoinitiator for atom transfer radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate. Surface‐initiated polymerization confirms the controlled characteristic by exploiting the presence of terminal bromine on the surface of the particles obtained by suspension.

Atomic-Scale Picture of the Composition, Decay, and Oxidation of Two-Dimensional Radioactive Films [PDF]
Two-dimensional radioactive (125)I monolayers are a recent development that combines the fields of radiochemistry and nanoscience. These Au-supported monolayers show great promise for understanding the local interaction of radiation with 2D molecular ...

The use of metal compounds such as cisplatin and its derivatives as therapeutic and diagnostic agents against various diseases is well established. Although metallodrugs have been very successful clinically, low therapeutic selectivity and the potential toxicity of the metal compounds mandate the need for a continuous search for more efficient and ...
