Reactions of organotin compounds
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1965Abstract An alternative preparation from aqueous solution, and a revised structure, of rimethyltin nitrate are described, as well as the infra-red spectroscopic changes which ccompany the solvation by methanol of trimethyltin perchlorate. The importance of ve-coordination in both of these compounds is stressed, and is further illustrated by he five ...

Functionally substituted organotin compounds
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1972Abstract Compounds containing groups have been prepared by two routes: the former method is preferred. Reactions between RSNa and (BrCH 2 ) 2 SnBr 2 give (RSCH 2 ) 2 Sn(SR) 2 . Properties, including the Mossbauer spectra, of these compounds are reported.

This chapter discusses the sources and distribution of organotin compounds (OTCs) in the environment. Due to the intensive use of OTCs as stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride (PVC), as antifouling paint for ship hulls, as wood preservatives, and as fungicides in plant protection, OTCs have entered the hydrosphere. Being present in the water column at low
