Studies of organotin(IV)-orthoquinone systems
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1998Abstract The primary process in the reaction of hexaphenylditin with various substituted orthoquinones (Q) is shown to involve attack by the quinone at a phenyl ligand. The intermediate thus formed decomposes to yield Ph3Sn(SQ·), where S(Q·−) is the corresponding semiquinonate.

Organotin(IV) N,N-disubstituted dithiocarbamates
Journal of Organometallic Chemistry, 1967Compounds with general formulas R3Sn(SSCNR′2 (REt, Ph, R′) or R2Sn(SSCNR′2)2 (Rhalogen, Et, Ph; R′Et, Ph) were prepared and their physical data are reported and discussed. In X2SN(SSCNEt2)2 an octahedral cis coordination of the tin atom is shown to be present with a chelated dithiocarbamato moiety.
