Functional polymer materials containing heavy group‐14 elements focusing on germanium and tin
The synthesis, functions, and applications of the polymers containing heavy group 14 elements focusing on germanium and tin are outlined. Owing to their large atomic radii and weak binding energies, the polymers show unique properties: chromism, luminescence, carrier mobility, and reactivity to produce radials and higher coordinated states.

Ultrasound promoted Barbier reactions and Csp3 - Csp2 Stille coupling for the synthesis of diarylmethanes and substituted benzophenones [PDF]
Here we present the preparation of a variety of diarylmethanes obtained via ultrasound Stille coupling under palladium catalysis between some substituted aryl compounds and benzyltributyltin compounds generated through sonicated Barbier reaction in a ...

Marine mammals are vulnerable to a variety of anthropogenic threats, yet a global systematic map of the literature for 19 species found both spatial and temporal disparity in research effort between threats and between species. There are knowledge gaps for species and threats, with effort unequal across many species' ranges.

Aqueous Barbier Allylation of Aldehydes Mediated by Tin
The aqueous tin-mediated Barbier reaction affords good to excellent yields and moderate syn diastereoselectivity under basic and acidic conditions. The high yields and stereoselectivity observed in the case of o-substituted aldehydes suggest a cyclic ...

Injectable and In Situ Hydration‐Reinforced Hybrid Bone Cements for Accelerated Bone Regeneration
To enable minimally invasive bone defect repair, an injectable and hydration‐reinforced bone cement (L‐PEGS/CPC) is designed through biomimetic reconstruction. The hydrophilic L‐PEGS organic phase provides abundant nucleation sites, synergizing with its porous architecture to accelerate CPC hydration, thereby endowing the composite with exceptional ...
