Gravity‐Dependent Modulation of Downbeat Nystagmus: Insights From Velocity‐Storage Dysfunction
ABSTRACT Objective Downbeat nystagmus varies with head position, a phenomenon termed gravity‐dependent modulation. We aimed to clarify its mechanism using a velocity‐storage model. Methods In 10 patients with downbeat nystagmus due to cerebellar disorders, we recorded eye movements at different pitch‐ and roll‐axis head positions.

Note on the skew energy of oriented graphs [PDF]
The skew energy of oriented graphs is de ned as the sum of the norms of all the eigenvalues of the skew adjacency matrix. In this note, we obtain some upper bounds for the skew energy of any oriented graphs, which improve the known upper bound ...

Objective Ambulatory care sensitive conditions (ACSCs) serve as indicators of access, quality, and performance of the health system. This study aimed to determine rheumatoid arthritis (RA)‐specific ACSCs for use in the evaluation of care system access and quality.

Obstructions to some injective oriented colourings
Each of several possible definitions of local injectivity for a homomorphism of an oriented graph $G$ to an oriented graph $H$ leads to an injective oriented colouring problem.

Shattering, Graph Orientations, and Connectivity [PDF]
We present a connection between two seemingly disparate fields: VC-theory and graph theory. This connection yields natural correspondences between fundamental concepts in VC-theory, such as shattering and VC-dimension, and well-studied concepts of graph theory related to connectivity, combinatorial optimization, forbidden subgraphs, and others. In one ...

Abstract Let D be an acyclic orientation of a graph G. Then an arc of D is called dependent if its reversal creates a directed cycle. Let d min ( G ) ( d max ( G ) ) denote the minimum (maximum) of the number of dependent arcs over all acyclic orientations of G. A graph G is called fully orientable if G has an acyclic orientation
