Data‐Independent Acquisition Mass Spectrometry in Tumor Classification and Cancer Biomarker Research
Abstract Cancer treatment is far from optimal also because current classification systems do not reflect the complex molecular status of the tumor and its phenotype in sufficient detail. To construct molecular tumor classifiers, omics tools provide complex molecular data reflecting many aspects from genotype to phenotype.

ABSTRACT Background Classifying abnormal tongue movements is challenging due to their varied presentations and limited visibility compared to other body parts. Accurate identification of the phenomenology guides physical examination and can point to specific diagnoses.

Abstract Objective The objective was to identify clinical variables associated with microscopic positive margins (PMs) during transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for oropharyngeal cancer (OPC) resection, and to explore the association of the receipt of adjuvant treatment with overall survival (OS) in this population.

Clinical periodontal diagnosis
Abstract Periodontal diseases include pathological conditions elicited by the presence of bacterial biofilms leading to a host response. In the diagnostic process, clinical signs such as bleeding on probing, development of periodontal pockets and gingival recessions, furcation involvement and presence of radiographic bone loss should be assessed prior ...

Surgical treatment of benign parapharyngeal space tumours : presentation of two clinical cases and revision of the literature [PDF]
Parapharyngeal space (PPS) tumours, most of them benign, account for some 0.5% of tumours of the head and neck. The importance of these tumours lies mainly in two aspects: on the one hand, the difficulty of early diagnosis, due to the lack of symptoms

Abstract Objective Smoking has been identified as a risk factor for recurrence in HPV‐associated oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) treated with definitive chemoradiation. Whether the same prognostic significance holds with surgical treatment such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS) is less well studied.

Mechanistic Learning for Predicting Survival Outcomes in Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma
ABSTRACT We employed a mechanistic learning approach, integrating on‐treatment tumor kinetics (TK) modeling with various machine learning (ML) models to address the challenge of predicting post‐progression survival (PPS)—the duration from the time of documented disease progression to death—and overall survival (OS) in Head and Neck Squamous Cell ...
