Appropriating the Classical Underworld: The Otherworld and its Spectacle in 'Sir Orfeo' [PDF]

open access: yesLimina: A Journal of Historical and Cultural Studies, 2014
In the Middle English Breton lay, Sir Orfeo (c. 1340), the Underworld transforms from its classical prototype of an ominous realm of shadows into the marvellous Otherworld.

Music [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The musical ending [of Goethe's Novelle] recalls the fascination with "music as metaphor", "the power of music", among recent and contemporary poets from Pope and Dryden and Collins to E.T.A. Hoffmann and Kleist and, of course to Goethe himself.

Halide Perovskite–Chalcohalide Nanocrystal Heterostructures as a Platform for the Synthesis and Investigation of the CsPbCl3–CsPbI3 Epitaxial Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 6, 27 January 2026.
In this work, perovskite–chalcohalide CsPbCl3–Pb4S3Cl2 heterostructures are exploited to study the Cl→I exchange reaction and to isolate new types of intermediate structures, in particular emissive CsPbI3–CsPbCl3–Pb4S3Cl2 heterostructures, with partial I‐alloying of the CsPbCl3 domain and at the perovskite–chalcohalide interface, having a 5.6% lattice ...

The Role of Thermally Activated Charge Separation in Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 3, 21 January 2026.
Charge separation mechanism in state‐of‐the‐art system has been a part of intense debate. Here, it is presented that as, the system moves toward the low‐offset regime the thermal contribution plays an important role to derive the charge separation. The rational guide is provided to achieve the maximum CSE and maximum VOC simultaneously within the mid ...

The Shade of Orpheus : Ambiguity and the Poetics of Vmbra in Metamorphoses 10

open access: yesDictynna, 2019
This paper reexamines the grove of Orpheus in Ovid, Metamorphoses 10, arguing that it is a space of complex ambiguity as activated and determined by the dual meaning of umbra.

Amphiphilic Polymer Conetworks for Non‐Fullerene Organic Solar Cells: Regulated Molecular Stacking Enables Efficient Downconversion

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 4, 28 January 2026.
This work presents a novel bulk‐heterojunction‐integrated organic luminophore geometry using amphiphilic polymer conetworks as an interlayer scaffold. The design enhances optoelectronic performance via efficient downconversion and reinforced molecular stacking, offering a versatile architecture that paves the way for next‐generation organic solar cells.

The Mosaics with Animals Theme in the Southern Adriatic Between 4th and 6th century A.D.: Decorative and Iconographic Schemes in Comparison

open access: yesJournal of Mosaic Research, 2012
The study of the mosaics found on the south-east Adriatic coasts, between Epirus Nova and Epirus Vetus (the current Albania), highlights significant analogies between the animals’ representations depicted on these floors and those represented on the ...

Second Harmonic Characteristics of Large‐Area ALD‐Grown MoS2 Monolayers and MoS2/WS2 Heterostructures with Sub‐Millimeter Crystalline Orientation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 23, December 8, 2025.
It is demonstrated that ALD‐grown MoS2 monolayers exhibit exceptional crystal orientation uniformity across large areas. SHG microscopy reveals that this orientation is preserved in MoS2/WS2 heterostructures, with the SHG response dominated by MoS2. Structural and optical analyzes suggest limited but possible interfacial ordering of the polycrystalline
