Adaptive Orthogonal Basis Function Detection Method for Unknown Magnetic Target Motion State

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Traditional methods of orthogonal basis function decomposition have been extensively used to detect magnetic anomaly signals. However, the determination of the relative velocity between the detection platform and the magnetic target remains elusive in ...

Multilayered Digital Microfluidic Chip for Cell‐Based Assays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A multilayered digital microfluidic (mDMF) chip architecture is introduced to improve throughput and robustness in cell‐based assays. By multilayering electrode components and dielectric layers on glass, this design significantly reduces actuation voltage, maintains reliability, and enables expansion of the operational area with minimum current leakage.

Understanding Interfacial Photoswitching Mechanisms in Atomically‐Thin TMD‐Spiropyran Hybrids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Photochromic molecules can effectively modulate the optoelectronic properties of atomically thin transition metal dichalcogenide semiconductors. Spiropyran that switches its chemical configuration upon alternating UV and visible irradiation enables light‐programmable optoelectronic devices.

On the Structure of SO(3): Trace and Canonical Decompositions

open access: yesMathematics
This paper is devoted to some selected topics of the theory of special orthogonal group SO(3). First, we discuss the trace of orthogonal matrices and its relation to the characteristic polynomial; on this basis, the partition of SO(3) formed by ...

Karhunen-loève basis in goodness-of-fit tests decomposition: an evaluation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In a previous paper (Grané and Fortiana 2006) we studied a flexible class of goodness-of-fit tests associated with an orthogonal sequence, the Karhunen-Loève decomposition of a stochastic process derived from the null hypothesis.

An Imaging‐Guided, Patient‐Specific Guiding Aid (RWNGuide) for Safe and Reproducible Inner Ear Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A patient‐specific, imaging‐guided aid enables precise and reproducible drug delivery to the inner ear. By guiding therapeutic agents directly to the round window niche, this approach reduces variability in drug localization, improves delivery safety, and addresses a critical bottleneck in inner ear therapy, offering a scalable strategy for precision ...

A Novel Method for Estimating Parameters of Magnetic Dipole Sources Under Low Signal-to-Noise Ratio Conditions Based on LM-OBF Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Magnetic anomaly data rapidly decay with distance and are susceptible to environmental magnetic noise, which leads to reduced accuracy and robustness in estimating magnetic source parameters.

Evolution of OLED Lamination Technology With Development of Display Form Factors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This review evaluates the evolution of organic light‐emitting diode (OLED) lamination technologies alongside advancing display form factors. It contrasts optically clear adhesives and resins, highlighting uniformity control for rigid screens, bubble‐free optimization for bended architectures, and visible‐light curing for foldable layers.
