Evaluation of a simple anti-sway control without start-up delay and over-travel

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2019
This paper evaluates a simple anti-sway control algorithm for fixed-speed cranes. Anti-sway control of suspended loads under cranes has been widely studied, and input shapers have been found as powerful tools.

Mechanism of Low-Frequency Oscillation When Electric Multiple Units Pass Neutral Zone, and Suppression Method

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
This article addresses the problem of the contact voltage increase caused by the low-frequency oscillation of the train-grid system in the phase-separation process of EMUs.

Enzymatic degradation of biopolymers in amorphous and molten states: mechanisms and applications

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review explains how polymer morphology and thermal state shape enzymatic degradation pathways, comparing amorphous and molten biopolymer structures. By integrating structure–reactivity principles with insights from thermodynamics and enzyme engineering, it highlights mechanisms that enable efficient polymer breakdown.

Study on Coupling Oscillation of Urban Rail Vehicle Traction System

open access: yes机车电传动, 2019
The DC power supply of urban rail vehicle was the key to good speed regulation performance of traction system. Limited by many factors such as on-board converter and harmonic suppression, the traction system was prone to DC side coupling oscillation ...

Stability enhancement control strategy for grid-connected wind power system based on composite feedforward damping

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
The stability of grid-connected wind power system (GCWPS) is prone to deteriorate due to the impedance interaction between wind turbines and the weak grid.

Relaxation oscillation suppression in tunable fibrelasers

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1994
The concept of relaxation oscillation damping of a tunable fibre laser with a nonlinear absorber is discussed. The principle of operation is illustrated through a numerical model with a nonlinear optical loop mirror as the damping element. Results with complete elimination of relaxation oscillations are presented.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Temperature oscillation suppression of GM cryocooler

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2012
GM cryocooler is a convenient refrigerator to achieve low temperatures about 4 K, while it is not suitable for precise measurements because of the large temperature oscillation of typically about 0.3 K. To resolve this problem, we have developed an adapter (He-pot) with a simple structure as possible.

Hopfield Neural Networks for Online Constrained Parameter Estimation With Time‐Varying Dynamics and Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper proposes two projector‐based Hopfield neural network (HNN) estimators for online, constrained parameter estimation under time‐varying data, additive disturbances, and slowly drifting physical parameters. The first is a constraint‐aware HNN that enforces linear equalities and inequalities (via slack neurons) and continuously tracks the ...
