Optimization Control of Sub-Synchronous Oscillations in Doubly Fed Generators with Wind Turbines Using the Genetic Algorithm

open access: yesApplied Sciences
The sub-synchronous oscillation accident of large-scale doubly fed wind turbines connected to a grid through series compensation has caused a serious impact on the power system. By optimizing the parameters of the doubly fed wind turbines control system,

Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

Low-frequency oscillation suppression in dystonia: Implications for adaptive deep brain stimulation.

open access: yesParkinsonism & Related Disorders, 2020
BACKGROUND Low-frequency oscillations (LFO) detected in the internal globus pallidus of dystonia patients have been identified as a physiomarker for adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS), since LFO correlate with dystonic symptoms and are rapidly ...

Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy in Bionanotechnology: Current Advances and Future Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM) enables the nanoscale mapping of electrostatic surface potentials. While widely applied in materials science, its use in biological systems remains emerging. This review presents recent advances in KPFM applied to biological samples and provides a critical perspective on current limitations and future directions for

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Modulation of alpha oscillations is required for the suppression of semantic interference

open access: yesNeurobiology of Learning and Memory, 2017
Recent findings on alpha band oscillations suggest their important role in memory consolidation and suppression of external distractors such as environmental noise. However, less attention was given to the phenomenon of internal distracting information being solely inherent to the stimuli content.

High-precision buffer circuit for suppression of regenerative oscillation

open access: yes, 1995
Precision analog signal conditioning electronics have been developed for wind tunnel model attitude inertial sensors. This application requires low-noise, stable, microvolt-level DC performance and a high-precision buffered output.

Study on Suppression Strategy for Broadband Sub-Synchronous Oscillation in Doubly-Fed Wind Power Generation System

open access: yes, 2022
In the power transmission of doubly-fed induction generators (DFIGs), sub-synchronous oscillation (SSO) can occur due to the influence of series compensation capacitance and long-distance transmission. SSO not only affects the output of the DFIG but also
