Oscillation Theory and Instability Of Nonlinear Waves
In recent work, Baird et al. have introduced a generalized Maslov index which allows oscillation techniques that have previously been restricted to eigenvalue problems with underlying Hamiltonian structure to be extended to the non-Hamiltonian setting [T. Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Oscillation Theory of Linear Systems
The author considers a strongly continuous semigroup \(T\) with generator \(A\) in a real Banach space \(X\). It is shown that if the spectrum of the generator \(A\) of semigroup \(T\) has no nonnegative real values then almost all points in \(X\) strongly oscillate.

Recent advances in coupled oscillator theory
We review the theory of weakly coupled oscillators for smooth systems. We then examine situations where application of the standard theory falls short and illustrate how it can be extended. Specific examples are given to non-smooth systems with applications to the Izhikevich neuron.

Spin and Charge Control of Topological End States in Chiral Graphene Nanoribbons on a 2D Ferromagnet
Chiral graphene nanoribbons on a ferromagnetic gadolinium‐gold surface alloy display tunable spin and charge states at their termini. Atomic work function variations and exchange fields enabe transitions between singlet, doublet, and triplet configurations.

Oscillation of third order functional differential equations with delay
We consider third order functional differential equations with discrete and continuous delay. We then develop several theorems related to the oscillatory behavior of these differential equations.

Lie-transform derivation of oscillation-center quasilinear theory
The derivation of the oscillation-center quasilinear theory in an unmagnetized plasma by Dewar (1973) is rederived by Lie-transform perturbation method.

Resolving the Structural Duality of Graphene Grain Boundaries
Cantilever ncAFM resolves the atomic structure of grain boundaries in graphene, revealing coexisting stable and metastable types. Both contain pentagon/heptagon defects, but metastable GBs show irregular geometries. Modeling shows metastable GBs form under compression, exhibiting vertical corrugation, while stable GBs are flat.

An Application of Gesztesy–Simon–Teschl Oscillation Theory to a Problem in Differential Geometry
The approach to oscillation theory developed by Gesztesy, Simon, and Teschl produces a sharp version for the oscillation theorem for singular Sturm–Liouville operators.

Self‐Cooling Molecular Spin Qudits
A material made of [GdEr] molecular dimers can encode a qudit and perform as a magnetic refrigerant. Microwave resonant pulses coherently manipulate its 16 spin states, while direct demagnetization measurements cool the material and a device down to temperatures below 1 K.
