Oestersterfte door herpesvirus OsHV-1 in Frankrijk en Ierland

open access: yes, 2009

The presence of a marker associated with Pacific oyster resistance to OsHV-1 does not affect susceptibility to Vibrio aestuarianus

open access: yesbioRxiv
The Pacific oyster, Crassostrea (Magallana) gigas, is an important species in aquaculture globally, but its production is threatened by pathogens including ostreid herpesvirus 1 (OsHV-1) and Vibrio aestuarianus.

A Single-Nucleus Transcriptomic Atlas Reveals Cell Type-Specific Responses to OsHV-1 Infection in the Pacific Oyster

open access: yesbioRxiv
Background The Pacific oyster (Crassostrea/Magallana gigas) is increasingly recognised as a model marine invertebrate. Valued for both ecological and commercial importance, Pacific oysters are farmed widely, supporting global food security by providing a

Experimentally mimicking long term infections of Magallana gigas with the OsHV-1 virus reveals evolution through positive selection

open access: yesbioRxiv
Ostreid herpesvirus 1 (OsHV-1) poses a significant threat to the global oyster farming industry, causing substantial economic losses due to mortality outbreaks.

Short Technical Report for OsHV-1 detection and quantification by Real Time Polynerase Chain Reaction using OsHV-1 DNA polymerase sequence

open access: yes, 2013
The present report completes a previously described procedure routinely used for the detection and quantification of OsHV-1 by Sybr green Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction targeting the OsHV-1 DNA polymerase sequence. More particularly, this document brings information about analytical sensitivity, quantitation limit, assay precision, reproducibility

Effects of temperature on the interaction between Pacific oysters and OsHV-1 : transcriptomic and metabolic responses

open access: yes, 2018
Crassostrea gigas is the main species of oyster cultivated in the world. Since 2008, mass mortality events have been affecting oysters aged less than one year old in Europe and Oceania and have been associated with the emergence of the Ostreid herpes virus μVar (OsHV-1 μVar).
