Urban greenspace and dementia: Measures, mechanisms, and methodological guidance

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Urban greenspace has been associated with improved cognition and reduced Alzheimer's disease (AD) and AD‐related dementias (ADRD) risk, but findings remain mixed, study quality varies, and evidence is largely cross‐sectional. To advance the field, we offer guidance to select and apply greenspace exposure measures in AD/ADRD research.

Management Application for Touristic Routes in OSM

open access: yes, 2017
The goal of this bachelor thesis is a design and realization of an application, which would automatically check the hiking trails managed by Czech Tourist Club (Czech: Klub českých turistů, KČT) in the OpenStreetMap (hereinafter OSM) project's data.

Integrative genomic and functional characterization of ADAMTS3 reveals its inflammatory regulation via NF‐κB and STAT3 pathways in osteosarcoma

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Osteosarcoma (OS) is an aggressive bone malignancy characterized by genomic instability and extensive extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling. Members of the ADAMTS family are matrix‐associated proteases implicated in tumorigenesis; however, their roles in OS remain poorly defined. This study provides a comprehensive genomic, transcriptomic, and

Single‐cell and repertoire profiling reveals immune remodelling in paediatric upper airway: insights from adenoid hypertrophy

open access: yesClinical &Translational Immunology, Volume 15, Issue 6, 2026.
Single‐cell and paired V(D)J profiling show that paediatric adenoid hypertrophy features expanded proliferative germinal‐centre B cells with impaired maturation. Abstract Objectives To characterise the immune cellular landscape and paired B‐cell and T‐cell receptor repertoires of hypertrophic adenoids in children with obstructive sleep apnoea.

OSM data processing tool

open access: yes

Can Functional Traits Explain Recent Changes in Abundance of Alpine Plant Species?

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
We tested whether plant functional traits can explain recent changes in alpine species abundance using long‐term monitoring data from Austria. Morphological traits like plant height and leaf area predicted species changes, while physiological stress‐tolerance traits showed no significant relationships.

‘SiteTool': a ‘Shiny' application for field site selection and evaluation

open access: yesEcography, Volume 2026, Issue 6, June 2026.
Field studies are fundamental to ecological research, yet many studies rely on unspecified or convenience‐based methods for site selection, potentially introducing bias that can compromise research results. Remote‐sensing data provides a quantitative way to evaluate potential sites without expensive pilot visits; however, interacting with spatial data ...

Finding Maximum Weight 2‐Packing Sets on Arbitrary Graphs

open access: yesNetworks, Volume 87, Issue 4, Page 404-427, June 2026.
ABSTRACT A 2‐packing set for an undirected, weighted graph G=(V,E,w) is a subset 𝒮⊆V such that any two vertices v1,v2∈𝒮 are not adjacent and have no common neighbors. The Maximum Weight 2‐Packing Set problem that asks for a 2‐packing set of maximum weight is NP‐hard.
