Suicidal Ideation as a Multifactorial Concept: A Systematic Review of Psychosocial Risk Factors in Women

open access: yesHealth &Social Care in the Community, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Suicidal ideation is a complex and multifactorial phenomenon that has been widely studied over the years, although many of these studies have mainly reflected a clinical component, focussing on risk factors and causes from a medical perspective.

Impact of Dynamical Downscaling on Sea Level Projections in the North‐East Atlantic Ocean and Regional Seas

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, Volume 130, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Practitioners and policy makers require sea‐level (SL) change estimates at regional‐to‐local scales to inform adaptation measures against sea‐level rise (SLR). Ocean dynamic SL (DSL) changes are a dominant driver of regional patterns of SL projections provided by the global climate models (GCMs).

The Latent Heating Feedback on the Mid‐Latitude Circulation

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 52, Issue 18, 28 September 2025.
Abstract Midlatitude storms transport warm and moist air poleward and upward, releasing latent heat. Latent heating is thus organized by the circulation but then modifies temperature gradients and winds, constituting a nonlinear feedback. We define the latent heating feedback as the effects that arise from latent heating being coupled with the ...

EFEITO DO TRATAMENTO FISIOTERAPÊUTICO SOBRE A DOR, FUNÇÃO E AMPLITUDE DE MOVIMENTO EM PACIENTES SUBMETIDOS À CIRURGIA ORTOGNÁTICA

open access: yes, 2022
A articulação temporomandibular (ATM) é uma articulação sinovial bicondilar interligada pela mandíbula e interdependentes, que possuem movimentos próprios de acordo com a lateralidade, porém, agem de forma simultânea, o que a classifica como uma ...

Losing Water by Storing It: The Oversighted Side of Intensive Water Regulation and Damming

open access: yesEarth's Future, Volume 13, Issue 9, September 2025.
Abstract Reservoirs are crucial for managing water resources but they may also promote enhanced water evaporation inland. Here we analyze the historical trends, causal attribution, and future projections of regional evaporative losses across 362 Spanish reservoirs, representing 94% of the nation's storage capacity, in one of the most heavily dammed ...

A hypothesis on ergodicity and the signal‐to‐noise paradox

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters, Volume 25, Issue 11, November 2024.
This letter suggests ergodicity concerns may affect the signal‐to‐noise paradox in ensemble weather forecasting. For the ensemble mean to be our best forecast of observations, the ergodic theorem must hold, as this approach interprets the mean as the most likely phase‐space trajectory.

Persistent Summer North Atlantic Jet Variability: Dynamical Feedbacks and Model‐Observation Discrepancies

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 51, Issue 20, 28 October 2024.
Abstract Persistent fluctuations in the latitudinal position of the North Atlantic (NATL) jet stream are closely linked to extreme weather anomalies, particularly over Europe. Accurately representing jet stream persistence in climate models is essential for enhancing the reliability of future regional extreme weather projections.

The observed evolution of sub‐daily to multi‐day heavy precipitation in Switzerland

open access: yesAtmospheric Science Letters, Volume 25, Issue 9, September 2024.
Daily and multi‐day heavy precipitation intensity and frequency have increased since 1901, mainly driven by anthropogenic climate change. Heavy precipitation peaks in the 1980s and subsequently shows a decrease in daily to multi‐day heavy precipitation due to internal variability.
