Laminins in osteogenic differentiation and pluripotency maintenance
Differentiation, 2020Extracellular matrix (ECM) plays an integral role in different developmental stages and in multiple systems. However, due to ECM being composed of various extracellular components (growth factors, cytokines, and hormones), its innate complexity and the lack of any efficient purification techniques limit further research into the detailed mechanisms of ...

Osteogenic differentiation of intact human amniotic membrane
Biomaterials, 2010Tissue engineering strategies usually require cell isolation and combination with a suitable biomaterial. Human amniotic membrane (AM) represents a natural two-layered sheet comprising cells with proven stem cell characteristics. In our approach, we evaluated the differentiation potential of AM in toto with its sessile stem cells as alternative to ...

Epigenetic modifications in osteogenic differentiation and transformation
Journal of Cellular Biochemistry, 2006AbstractAlmost all tumors are characterized by both architectural and cellular abnormalities in differentiation. Osteoblast development is relatively well understood, making osteosarcoma a good model for understanding how tumorigenesis perturbs normal differentiation.

Regulation of osteogenic differentiation during skeletal development
Frontiers in Bioscience, 2008Bone formation during skeletal development involves a complex coordination among multiple cell types and tissues. Bone is of crucial importance for the human body, providing skeletal support, and serving as a home for the formation of hematopoietic cells and as a reservoir for calcium and phosphate.

SIRT2 Mediated Microtubule Acetylation in Osteogenic Differentiation.
The Chinese journal of dental researchTo assess the role of microtubule acetylation in the transportation of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP)-containing vesicles that mediate the osteogenic differentiation process of rat bone mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs).Rat BMSCs were cultured and transfected with sirtuin 2 (SIRT2) overexpression plasmids for an in vitro model.

[Kcnq1ot1 promotes osteogenic differentiation and suppresses osteoclast differentiation].
Nan fang yi ke da xue xue bao = Journal of Southern Medical University, 2021To investigate the regulatory role of long non-coding RNA Kcnq1ot1 in osteoclast differentiation, osteogenic differentiation and osteoporosis. The expression of lnc-Kcnq1ot1, Bglap, Runx2, Alp, Bsp, Nfatc1, Mmp9, Ctsk and Oscar were detected by real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) in the femoral bones from mouse models of postmenopausal osteoporosis ...

Induction of Osteogenic Differentiation by Nanostructured Alumina Surfaces
Journal of Biomedical Nanotechnology, 2014Permanent orthopedic implants are becoming increasingly important due to the demographic development. Their optimal osseointegration is key in obtaining good secondary stability. For anchorage dependent cells, topographic features of a surface play an essential role for cell adhesion, proliferation, differentiation and biomineralization. We studied the

[Intraosseous highly differentiated osteogenic sarcoma].
Arkhiv patologii, 1989A man of 20 developed well-differentiated intraosseous osteogenic sarcoma of the femur. Clinico-roentgenologic, computed tomography and histological findings revealed a number of features uncommon for the tumor: (1) a torpid course, (2) histological appearance typical for parosteal sarcoma, (3) low malignant potential.

Regulating Osteogenic Differentiation by Suppression of Exosomal MicroRNAs
Tissue Engineering Part A, 2019We investigated the role of exosomes in osteogenesis and the use of miRNA inhibitor-transfected exosomes to control osteogenic differentiation. RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) of exosomal miRNAs revealed that growth condition of milieu of preosteoblast exosomes harbors high levels of let-7, which plays a critical role in osteogenesis regulation.
