Femoral Skeletal Growth in Early Infancy Assessed by Radiofrequency Echographic Multi‐Spectrometry

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
Radiofrequency echographic multi‐spectrometry (REMS) acquisition of raw ultrasound radiofrequency signals from neonatal bone. Signals undergo preprocessing and frequency‐domain analysis to extract spectral features reflecting bone properties. A software‐guided procedure then identifies and selects standardized regions of interest (ROIs).

Estradiol replacement attenuates alendronate‐associated adverse effects on alveolar bone repair in ovariectomized rats

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Sodium alendronate (ALN) is widely used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis, but both estrogen deficiency and antiresorptive therapy may impair alveolar bone repair after tooth extraction. A clinically relevant but insufficiently explored scenario involves estrogen‐deficient individuals receiving hormone replacement therapy (HRT ...

Immunological and periodontal benefits of prebiotic polydextrose in rats with induced periodontitis

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Prebiotic therapy is a promising approach for managing periodontitis due to its potential benefits in modulating the microbiome and the immune response. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of the prebiotic (PREB) polydextrose (PDX) on the development of experimental periodontitis (EP) in rats.

Evaluating the impact of therapeutic drug monitoring strategies on clinical outcomes in paediatric inflammatory bowel disease

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives The increasing incidence of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in paediatric populations underscores the importance of effective management strategies. Anti–tumor necrosis factor (anti‐TNF) agents, such as infliximab (IFX) and adalimumab (ADL), are key treatments for inducing and maintaining remission in IBD, but many patients ...
