We had two main goals for the course: to develop a one-semester course for computer science (and other) majors, and to give the students practical experience with real industrial tools.

The general issue I have highlighted within my research is that there are ongoing issues within UVA that are not being highlighted, which can be solved by looking at other universities. There are several issues within the university but most of them have a plethora of people at their disposal.

The use of computer technologies for increasing the efficiency of physics teaching is discussed. Proposed approach includes the development of professionally oriented teaching, the use of multimedia lecture courses, the use of Learning Management Systems (such as Blackboard Learn and MOODLE), webinars, etc.
