TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Camera‐trapping version 3.0: current constraints and future priorities for development

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, 2019
Camera traps are a widely used tool in wildlife research and conservation, but in situ factors such as theft, poor performance in extreme environments and damage by wildlife may be hindering the effectiveness of the technology.

Cultural History and its Neighbours

open access: yesCulture & History Digital Journal, 2012
This article offers a kind of map of intellectual fields that are more or less close to cultural history. It is difficult to separate cultural history from intellectual, social and political history, from archaeology and from the histories of such ...

Higgsing and twisting of 6d D N gauge theories

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We propose Type IIB 5-brane configurations that engineer the 6d N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = (1, 0) SCFTs with SO(N) gauge symmetry coupled to a single tensor multiplet on a circle, by considering RG flows on Higgs branches of D-type conformal matter theories ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Topological study on electrode wells of vertical grounding electrodes of UHVDC

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
The main body of vertical grounding electrodes of an ultra-high-voltage direct current (UHVDC) converter station is dispersed electrode wells, due to the shielding effect between electrode wells, the arrangement of which is a problem that needs to ...
