Malignant glaucoma with variable outcomes after irido-zonulo-hyaloid-vitrectomy-bilateral involvement: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports
Introduction Malignant glaucoma is an uncommon but serious complication of intraocular surgery, including filtration surgery and phacoemulsification, with an incidence of 2–4%.

Special Relativistic Magnetohydrodynamic Simulation of Two-Component Outflow Powered by Magnetic Explosion on Compact Stars

open access: yes, 2011
The nonlinear dynamics of outflows driven by magnetic explosion on the surface of a compact star is investigated through special relativistic magnetohydrodynamic simulations. We adopt, as the initial equilibrium state, a spherical stellar object embedded

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...

Inclination Effect on Observational Identification of Outflow Rotation in Magnetohydrodynamics Simulations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We investigate the observational signatures of outflow rotation in protostellar systems using magnetohydrodynamics simulations of protostellar evolution with radiative transfer and synthetic observation. The velocity gradient perpendicular to the outflow

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Research on prediction method of coal mining face gas outflow based on quadratic decomposition and BO-BiLSTM combination model

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan
In order to improve the prediction accuracy of coal mining face gas outflow, a coal mining face gas outflow prediction method based on quadratic decomposition and BO-BiLSTM combination model is proposed.

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Dielectric Barrier Discharge Plasma Deoxidation of Natively Oxide Layer of Copper Powders in a Fluidized Bed

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.
