Histomorphological Evaluation of Desmoplastic Tumor Stroma in Malignant Ovarian Surface Epithelial Tumors. [PDF]
Background: Ovarian cancer is the 8th most common cancer in women worldwide. Tumor budding is defined as a type of invasive growth in carcinomas with either a single tumor cell or a cluster of up to four cells at the invasive tumor front and is associated with epithelial–mesenchymal transition.

IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL EXPRESSION OF CD133 IN OVARIAN SURFACE EPITHELIAL TUMORS [PDF]
Background: The identification of antigenic profile of the cancer stem cells might have relevant clinical implication as they're able to proliferate and self-renew, in turn sustaining tumor growth.

Correlation of PD-L1 expression with different clinico-pathological and immunohistochemical features of ovarian surface epithelial tumors. [PDF]
Abstract Background Primary carcinoma of the ovary (OCs) are responsible for a significant number of deaths related to cancer, and have the highest rate of death related to cancers of the female reproductive organs. Programmed cell death 1 (PD1) protein, acts as an immune checkpoint, and has an important role in the ...

The role of Wilm’s Tumor1 immunohistochemical marker in surface epithelial ovarian tumors
Background: Wilms’ tumor 1 is a tumor suppressor gene. The gene is located in chromosome 11p13. And its expression was found in many solid tumors (including ovarian tumor) and also expressed in hematologic malignancies, Recent studies found that WT1 to ...

The Prognostic Value of CD133 in Ovarian Surface Epithelial Tumors [PDF]
Background: Ovarian cancer, the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death in women, is a highly lethal disease among all gynecologic malignancies.Stem cells (SCs) are undifferentiated cells destined to replenish the pool of mature cells whenever needed. In recent years, accumulating data demonstrate that a small subset of cells exists within a tumor ...

Ependymoma of the broad ligament mimicking an ovarian surface epithelial tumor
We report a case of ependymoma of the broad ligament occurring in a 21-year-old woman. CT and MRI findings showed a 40-mm-diameter, well-demarcated cystic mass with a lobulated solid component in the right pelvis. The solid component showed heterogeneous intermediate signal intensity on T2-weighted image and prolonged mild contrast enhancement.
