Study on the effect of layered structure of overlying strata on soil damage in mining areas in the loess covered region of northern Shaanxi

open access: yesMeitan xuebao
Ecological protection in coal mining areas is a major problem that needs to be solved urgently for high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. Scientific understanding of the response law of the overlying strata of the coal seam to the surface ...

RNF213 Is an Interferon‐Stimulated Gene That Targets Influenza A Virus NP and Activates MDA5 to Restrict Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNF213 is characterized as a dual‐functional antiviral effector. It directly mediates the degradation of the influenza A virus nucleoprotein (NP) while simultaneously activating the MDA5‐mediated innate immune signaling pathway. This coordinated response establishes a powerful host defense system against viral infection. ABSTRACT Influenza A virus (IAV)

Integrative solution of stress evolution in overburden roof strata during the coal seam mining by application of complex variable functions methodology

open access: yesRock Mechanics Bulletin
Large-scale roof collapse is a major dynamic hazard threatening the safe coal mine operations. Understanding the deformation and failure characteristics of overburden rock strata, as well as deciphering the stress evolution mechanism of overburden rock ...

Conformable Microelectrode Arrays Integrated with a Scoop‐Shaped Slide‐Well for Dynamic Electrophysiological Profiling of Patient‐Derived Cardiac Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A flexible, ultrathin multi‐channel microelectrode array (MEA) conformally integrated onto a curved slide‐well enables stable electrical interfacing with 3D cardiac organoids. The geometry‐guided self‐alignment allows simultaneous recording of extracellular field potentials and contractile motion from irregular, beating tissues.

A synoptic description of coal basins via image processing [PDF]

open access: yes
An existing image processing system is adapted to describe the geologic attributes of a regional coal basin. This scheme handles a map as if it were a matrix, in contrast to more conventional approaches which represent map information in terms of linked ...

Zinc Exposure Causes Disulfidptosis to Induce Miscarriage by Up‐Regulating GATA1/METTL1/SLC7A11 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zn exposure up‐regulates GATA1, promoting GATA1‐mediated METTL1 and SLC7A11 transcription. It also enhances METTL1‐mediated m7G modification on SLC7A11 mRNA, increasing SLC7A11 mRNA stability. Ultimately, Zn exposure up‐regulates SLC7A11 at both transcriptional and post‐transcriptional levels, causing disulfidptosis. Knockdown of murine Slc7a11, Gata1,

Gut Mycobiota‐Associated Tryptophan Catabolites Protect Against Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accumulating evidence suggests that the intestinal microbiota participates in the progression of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) through microbiota‐host interaction. However, the beneficial role of commensal mycobiota in MASLD progression remains poorly understood.

Mechanical Overloading‐Induced Nanomineral Crystal Perturbation from the Osteochondral Interface: A Potential Initiator of Osteoarthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...
