Probing the Higgs boson CP properties in vector-boson fusion production in the H → τ + τ − channel with the ATLAS detector

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The CP properties of the Higgs boson are studied in the vector-boson fusion production mode. The analysis exploits the decay mode of the Higgs boson into two τ-leptons using 140 fb −1 of proton-proton collision data at s = 13 $$ \sqrt{s}=13 $$ TeV ...

Notiz über neue \overset+S–\overset−N–Ylid-Komplexe von Platin(II) [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1974
Abstract The reaction of (CH3)2SNC(O)R (R=C6H5, C6H4CH3-P)(Y) with K2PtCl4 in water gives a stable ylide complex, PtCl2(Y)(DMSO), in which Y coordinates to the Pt(II) via nitrogen and DMSO via the sulfur to form a cis-configuration.

Impact of MgO Additions on the Oxidation Resistance and Compression Behavior of Vanadium Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An increase in oxidation resistance at 600 °C is achieved for alloys containing more than 2.5 wt.% MgO. It has been established that, along with V2O5, MgO6V2, and Mg2O7V2 are formed, which are presumed to enhance oxidative stability. Furthermore, the possible transformation of Mg‐vanadates through reaction with CO2, which presumably occurs in this ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

When Poor Exciton Dissociation Limits Photocurrents in Organic Solar Cells: Why Low Offset Non‐Fullerene Acceptor Blends Can't Be Efficient

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The energetic offset between the donor and the acceptor components in organic photoactive layers is central to the tradeoff between photovoltage and photocurrent losses. This Perspective covers the most important issues surrounding this topic in non‐fullerene acceptor blends, from the difficulty of accurately determining state energies and driving ...

Scalable Task Planning via Large Language Models and Structured World Representations

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work efficiently combines graph‐based world representations with the commonsense knowledge in Large Language Models to enhance planning techniques for the large‐scale environments that modern robots will need to face. Planning methods often struggle with computational intractability when solving task‐level problems in large‐scale environments ...

Spacetime dilaton in AdS3 × X holography

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the spectrum generating operators (DDF operators) for bosonic strings and superstrings in AdS3 × X with pure, generic NSNS flux. The dual CFT is conjectured to be a deformed symmetric orbifold of ℝ Q ~ × X $$ {\mathbb{R}}_{\overset{\sim }{Q ...

Improving the Robustness of Visual Teach‐and‐Repeat Navigation Using Drift Error Correction and Event‐Based Vision for Low‐Light Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Visual teach‐and‐repeat (VTR) navigation allows robots to learn and follow routes without building a full metric map. We show that navigation accuracy for VTR can be improved by integrating a topological map with error‐drift correction based on stereo vision.

Investigation into the flow characteristics of supercavities and comparison of the incoming flow method and the overset mesh method

open access: yesApplied Ocean Research
The study aims to establish a simulation method for the forward motion of supercavities around underwater vehicles, laying the foundation for investigating the flow characteristics of supercavities under complex motion conditions. Two methods, namely the

Efficient and Robust Standing Postures of Quadruped Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A calibrated static framework estimates load, optimizes torques, and adapts posture so quadruped robots stand efficiently and robustly under external payloads, achieving up to 50% lower torque demand. Inspired by the natural posture adjustments of animals under external loading, this article presents an optimization‐based framework for minimizing joint
