Large‐Scale Machine Learning to Screen for Small‐Molecule Senolytics
A consistent workflow underpins all experiments in this study. A dedicated model‐selection dataset first identifies optimal hyperparameters for each algorithm. Models are then trained and rigorously evaluated on independent sets of molecules using the senolytic ratio SR. Comprehensive hyperparameter exploration across SMILES representations, task types,

This research demonstrates that the combination of domain knowledge–based multiple regression, multi‐objective Bayesian optimization, and generative models is a suitable prediction tool for candidates of high refractive index polymers, even with the constraints in the model trained on limited data. The experimental validation can reproduce the proposed

A comparative study of turbulence models for overset grids
The implementation of two different types of turbulence models for a flow solver using the Chimera overset grid method is examined. Various turbulence model characteristics, such as length scale determination and transition modeling, are found to have a significant impact on the computed pressure distribution for a multielement airfoil case.

Mechanism analysis of the vortex ring and its effects on an axial descending rotor [PDF]
A vortex ring is a flow phenomenon involving a complex toroidal vortex system. When a rotor is in descending flight, it may enter the vortex ring state (VRS), which will affect the rotor’s aerodynamic characteristics and even endanger it.

Fluid-structure interaction simulation of a wire-wrapped tube array using overset grids [PDF]
Axial flows in tube bundle geometries are omnipresent in nuclear power plants, including fuel assemblies and heat exchangers. The tubes are often long and slender which makes them susceptible to flow-induced vibrations.

Predicting Performance of Hall Effect Ion Source Using Machine Learning
This study introduces HallNN, a machine learning tool for predicting Hall effect ion source performance using a neural network ensemble trained on data generated from numerical simulations. HallNN provides faster and more accurate predictions than numerical methods and traditional scaling laws, making it valuable for designing and optimizing Hall ...

Robust Representation Learning for Clean Feature Discovery in Incomplete Multi‐View Clustering
Robust feature discovery in incomplete multi‐view clustering is achieved by coupling RPCA‐based clean representation recovery with neural‐network‐assisted graph learning. The resulting RIMVC framework constructs cleaner and more discriminative graph‐structured representations from incomplete and noisy multi‐view data, improving clustering robustness ...

An AI‐enabled micromixing framework is developed by integrating cGAN with Bayesian optimization for predictive control of microrobot‐driven flow manipulation. Through this framework, the spatiotemporal evolution of micromixing is learned directly from experimental images, while rapid identification of optimized microrobot actuation strategies is ...

RANS simulations using overset meshes [PDF]
The paper describes the implementation of the overset grids approach into a finite volume Navier-Stokes simulation tool. The algorithm is capable of handling an arbitrary number of overset grids using a priority-aware algorithm to determine the grid ...
