Ovicidal activity of juvenile hormone mimics in the bean bug, Riptortus pedestris.

open access: yesJournal of pesticide science, 2021
Insect juvenile hormone (JH) mimics (JHMs) are known to have ovicidal effects if applied to adult females or eggs. Here, we examined the effects of exogenous JHMs on embryonic development of the bean bug, Riptortus pedestris. The expression profiles of JH early response genes and JH biosynthetic enzymes indicated that JH titer was low for the first 3 ...

Monitoring spirodiclofen resistance in female Brevipalpus yothersi (Acari: Tenuipalpidae) from citrus orchards in Southeastern Brazil

open access: yesAgricultural and Forest Entomology, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 410-424, August 2026.
Spirodiclofen resistance levels in B. yothersi varied geographically across the Brazilian citrus belt, with higher resistance in the central region. Sublethal effects included reduced oviposition, increased non‐viable eggs and disrupted female reproduction.

Bio‐Insecticidal Efficacy of Phytochemicals in Acorus calamus Rhizome and Piper longum Plant Extracts as Green Alternatives to Synthetic Insecticides Against Tribolium castaneum

open access: yesPhytochemicals in Food and Medicine, Volume 1, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT To meet the increasing food demands of a growing global population, agricultural productivity must rise substantially. However, the excessive reliance on synthetic pesticides has resulted in the development of resistance among stored‐product insect pests, necessitating the search for sustainable and eco‐friendly alternatives. The present study
