In this paper, we assessed the suitability of using the neonicotinoid imidacloprid with standard ovitraps by evaluating the ovicidal properties of imidacloprid and its influence on the oviposition response of gravid females of Aedes (Stegomyia) aegypti ...

Dengue fever occurrence and vector detection by larval survey, ovitrap and MosquiTRAP: a space-time clusters analysis. [PDF]
The use of vector surveillance tools for preventing dengue disease requires fine assessment of risk, in order to improve vector control activities. Nevertheless, the thresholds between vector detection and dengue fever occurrence are currently not well ...

The RAA‐Cas12a assay outperforms real‐time PCR in sensitivity (92.3%) while matching its specificity (100%) for dengue virus detection in clinical samples. It effectively identifies DENV in mosquitoes, with field data correlating to local outbreaks. This rapid, simple, and precise method serves as an early warning tool for dengue management.

Uji Efektifitas Atraktan pada Lethal Ovitrap terhadap Jumlah dan Daya Tetas Telur Nyamuk Aedes aegypti [PDF]
Control of Aedes aegypti mosquito as dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) vector can be conducted by using the ovitrap modified into a lethal ovitrap. The addition of attractant substances to the ovitrap can attract more mosquitoes to come in to the trap, and

Blood‐feeding mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) impose a major public‐health burden in tropical regions of the world. They transmit many pathogens to humans and domesticated animals. This study investigated the diversity and abundance of mosquito larvae and adults in nine bioecological regions of Bushehr Province, southern Iran, from May to December 2022.

ABSTRACT Spatial interpolation represents a fundamental approach in applied insect ecology, offering insight into species distributions and supporting biodiversity analysis, pest management and disease vector mapping. Insects—including important pollinators—face escalating threats due to habitat loss, climate change and anthropogenic pressures. As data‐
