Women in space: A review of known physiological adaptations and health perspectives

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Exposure to the spaceflight environment causes adaptations in most human physiological systems, many of which are thought to affect women differently from men. Since only 11.5% of astronauts worldwide have been female, these issues are largely understudied.

OPU-IVP -keinollisen lisääntymistekniikan soveltaminen tilaoloihin Pohjois-Savon lypsykarjatiloilla [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Tässä hankeselvityksessä perehdytään keinolliseen lisääntymistekniikkaan, jolla elävästä naudasta kerätään munasoluja, joista tuotetaan koeputkialkioita eli OPU‐IVP ‐tekniikkaan. Tämä tekniikka on vähitellen noussut toisen koeputkialkiotuotantotekniikan,

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 3, June 2026.
A reproductive biology study of Labeo dero reveals a July breeding peak with female GSI reaching 14.9 %. Induced breeding trials establish optimal doses of 6 mg kg−1 (♀) and 3 mg kg−1 (♂) carp pituitary extract (94.7 % spawning) and 0.6 mL kg−1 (♀) and 0.3 mL kg−1 (♂) Ovuhom (82.3 % spawning).

Severity‐Based Prioritisation of Administrative Tax Non‐Compliance: A Multiclass Prediction Approach Using Financial and Governance Data

open access: yesIntelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance and Management, Volume 33, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Tax authorities face growing volumes of filings and payments and must manage procedural non‐compliance (e.g., late filing, late payment and the accumulation of tax arrears) with limited administrative capacity. Many existing machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) applications in tax administration rely on binary outcomes, which

Factors influencing ovum pick-up technique results in cattle

open access: yesJournal of Istanbul Veterinary Sciences
The Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) technique, which is used in in vitro embryo production (IVP) to retrieve immature oocytes from live donor animals, is one of the most important biotechnological procedures used in cattle breeding. The most important advantage of this technology is that it allows for the reproducible retrieval of immature oocytes from living donor

Liminal Bioethics for Liminal Statuses: A New Method for Analysing Novel Biological Entities

open access: yesBioethics, Volume 40, Issue 5, Page 453-462, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Novel biological entities such as cell lines and organoids do not typically fit into established conceptual categories, such as ‘human’ or ‘nonhuman’, ‘gift’ or ‘property’. This makes developing robust ethical principles or policy solutions difficult.
