Early Risk Assessment and Recognition of Allergies in Children: Rationale, Methodology, and Proposed Algorithms

open access: yesAllergy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Atopic diseases—including atopic dermatitis (AD), food allergy (FA), allergic rhinitis (AR), and asthma—are the most common chronic conditions in childhood and adolescence, affecting up to 30% of the global population. Justification Patterns for OWL DL Ontologies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
For debugging OWL-DL ontologies, natural language explanations of inconsistencies and undesirable entailments are of great help. From such explanations, ontology developers can learn why an ontology gives rise to specific entailments.

Basis Networks: Learning basis functions for free‐form triangulations

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
Abstract We present a framework for learning compactly supported basis functions that define tangent continuous surfaces based on coarse irregular triangle meshes. The basis functions are represented as MLPs. Smoothness of the basis functions is achieved by using the values of Loop basis functions as the parameterization of the surface.
