Oxalate Formation Enhanced by Fe-Containing Particles and Environmental Implications.
Environmental Science and Technology, 2018We used a single particle mass spectrometry to online detect chemical compositions of individual particles over four seasons in Guangzhou. Number fractions (Nfs) of all the measured particles that contained oxalate were 1.9%, 5.2%, 25.1%, and 15.5 ...

A method of estimating urinary oxalate is described. Impurities which might otherwise interfere with the estimation are removed by means of an ion-exchange resin. The oxalate is then reduced to glycolic acid, which forms a coloured compound with chromotropic acid. It can then be estimated colorimetrically.

Oxalate transport and calcium oxalate renal stone disease
Urological Research, 1996Hyperoxaluria is considered to play a crucial role in calcium oxalate (CaOx) renal stone disease. The amount of oxalate excreted into the urine depends on intestinal absorption, endogenous production, renal clearance and renal tubular transport. Since a primary disorder has not been found so far in most CaOx stone formers and since oxalate is freely ...

Oxalate Urolithiasis: Significance of Serum and Urinary Oxalate
Urologia Internationalis, 1980With a new enzymatic test using oxalate oxidase, serum and urinary oxalate can easily and quickly be determined. Serum oxalate in females was significantly higher than in males (39.5 mumol/l, 30.8 mumol/l). Increased serum levels were found only in male patients. Urinary excretion did not reveal sex-dependent differences in healthy persons.
