Oxygen Ion Conductors for Fuel Cells and Membranes: Selected Developments
Solid State Ionics, 2006Recent developments on single-phase and composite materials with oxygen ionic conductivity are briefly reviewed. Attention is focused on electrolytes with apatite-like structure, yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) ceramics containing silica and apatite admixtures, and composite mixed conductors where chemical interaction of the components is large or ...

Quasielastic light scattering in oxygen-ion conductors
Physical Review B, 1986The spectra, temperature dependence, and depolarization ratio of the quasielastic light scattering (QELS) in cubic zirconia are studied in the frequency range 0.04--1000 cm and the temperature range 300--1500 K by using a tandem Fabry-Perot interferometer.

Development of oxygen ion conductors: One relevant tendency
Ionics, 2005In the past ten years a series of developments in the field of materials with dominant oxygen ion conduction introduced a variety of new systems. The most relevant aspect is a shift from ionic transport mechanisms based on the motion of oxygen vacancies, to mechanisms based on mobile oxygen interstitials.

Activity of Bi2O3 in Bi2O3Y2O3 oxygen ion conductor
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 1992Abstract Dense bodies (>96% theoretical density) of Bi 2 O 3 Y 2 O 3 oxygen ion conductor in the compositional range 50–85 mol% Bi 2 O 3 were prepared. The activities of Bi 2 O 3 in this system were measured using a solid electrolyte galvanic cell.

Extending the family of oxygen ion conductors isostructural with La2Mo2O9
Journal of Solid State Chemistry, 2012Abstract X-ray diffraction characterization of materials prepared by solid-state reactions in the ternary systems La 2 Mo 2 O 9 –Nd 2 W 2 O 9 –“Nd 2 Mo 2 O 9 ” and La 2 Mo 2 O 9 –Pr 2 W 2 O 9 –Pr 2 Mo 2 O 9 has shown that, in these systems, compounds isostructural with the oxygen ion conductor La 2 Mo 2 O 9 exist in wide single-phase regions ...
