Compounds that increase oxygen diffusion in plasma

Atherosclerosis, 1978
The rate of diffusion of oxygen in blood plasma is increased by adding certain compounds to plasma at very low concentration levels. Decreased oxygen diffusion rates in plasma causes local hypoxic conditions and this may play an important part in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.

Interaction of Oxygen Plasma With Aluminium Substrates

IEEE Transactions on Plasma Science, 2008
Inductively coupled oxygen plasma are widely used for materials processing. Optical emission spectroscopy (OES) using fast miniature fiber spectrometer was used for plasma characterization and process monitoring. Images of plasma and accompanying spectra during interaction with aluminium foil are presented.

Dependence of plasma pH on oxygen saturation

Respiration Physiology, 1969
Abstract The influence of haemoglobin oxygenation on the pH value of the blood plasma of healthy adolescents was investigated at 38°C by varying the parameters CO2 pressure, Hb concentration and buffer bases. A total of 5000 measurements gave the following results: 1. 1.

Laser Diagnostic of Radio-Frequency Oxygen Plasma

1990
We started the investigation of radio-frequency discharges of oxygen-noble mixtures because they are known to be efficient “generators” of atomic oxygen. In addition the discharge, in absence of chemical reactions at the electrodes, is particularly clean to allow high resolution laser spectroscopy investigations [1],[2],[3] which were our main purpose.

Oxygen atom density in capacitively coupled RF oxygen plasma

Vacuum, 2009
Abstract The density of neutral oxygen atoms was determined in a plasma reactor for surface functionalization of polymer materials. Plasma was created in a stainless steel chamber by capacitively coupled RF generator at 13.56 MHz and adjustable forward power up to 100 W. Measurements were performed with a classical nickel catalytic probe.

Diffusion of Oxygen in Plasma and Blood

1976
D in fresh human plasma has been found to decrease almost linearly with total protein content over a wide range of concentration and to vary only +/-4% in normals and +/-13% in abnormals. The average values for D in normal human plasma, at 25 and 37 degrees C, are 1.62 and 2.18 X 10(-5) cm2/sec respectively.

Determination of Atomic Oxygen in Atmospheric Plasma from Oxygen Isotope Exchange

Plasma Processes and Polymers, 2011
AbstractOxygen scrambling is observed when a 1:1 mixture of 16O2 and 18O2 in nitrogen/helium buffer (total O2: 5–20%) is treated at atmospheric pressure in a surface discharge plasma reactor. The statistical isotope distribution (16O2/18O2/16O18O = 1:1:2) is achieved with a very low SIE (i.e., the energy per unit volume).

Macroscopic modeling of oxygen plasmas

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A: Vacuum, Surfaces, and Films, 1990
This paper describes a macroscopic model of parallel-plate, radio frequency (rf), oxygen plasma discharges. The model predicts fundamental plasma characteristics as a function of controllable parameters such as pressure, power, and electrode spacing.

Oxygen plasma etching resistance of plasma polymerized organometallic film

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B: Microelectronics Processing and Phenomena, 1989
The oxygen plasma etching resistance of plasma polymerized organometalic film was measured. The films were deposited by downstream plasma deposition using gaseous mixtures of an organic monomer (C3H6) and a metal-containing monomer tetramethyltin or tetramethylsilane.

Transient electromagnetic behaviour in inductive oxygen and argon–oxygen plasmas

Plasma Sources Science and Technology, 2016
In order to develop inductive electric propulsion as a flexible, throttleable technology for future space operations, a greater understanding of discharge transitions within the inductive plasma generator discharge chamber is required. This paper presents a non-intrusive method to determine the conditions under which transitions between the capacitive,
