Factors for self-assessment score of interprofessional team collaboration in community hospitals in Japan

open access: yesFamily Medicine and Community Health, 2019
Objective Interprofessional collaboration is considered an important strategy in overcoming the complex issues associated with healthcare outcomes. A nationwide, community-based integrated care system developed for the care of older people in individual ...

Impacts of elevated atmospheric ozone on peatland below-ground DOC characteristics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Rising concentrations of tropospheric ozone are having detrimental impacts on the growth of crop and forest species and some studies have reported inhibition of the allocation of carbon below ground.

Anomalous Stiffening of a Conjugated Polymer During Electrochemical Oxidation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electromechanical response of a thienothiophene‐based conjugated polymer with triethylene glycol side chains is investigated. Electrochemical nanoindentation and atomic force microscopy reveal a modest and reversible increase in elastic modulus at room temperature upon electrochemical oxidation.

Cefepime-Induced Encephalopathy in a Patient With Uncompromised Renal Function: A Case Report

open access: yesCase Reports in Infectious Diseases
Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, is widely used in the treatment of infections caused by resistant Gram-negative bacteria especially Pseudomonas aeruginosa, or in severe infections, septic shock, and infections in immunocompromised patients ...

Seasonal Cycle of the Total Ozone Content over Southern High Latitudes in the CCM SOCOLv3

open access: yesAtmosphere
The severe ozone depletion over the Southern polar region, known as the “ozone hole,” is a stark example of global ozone depletion caused by human-made chemicals. This has implications for climate change and increased harmful surface solar UV.

Universal and Nondestructive Direct Photolithography of Colloidal Quantum Dots Using Photocrosslinkable Polymer Blends

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A universal and nondestructive direct photolithography method enables high‐resolution quantum dot (QD) patterning without ligand exchange. By blending QDs with a photocrosslinkable polymer, this approach preserves the optical properties and enhances the QD‐LED efficiency and lifetime.

Research progress on the role and mechanism of circadian clock gene PER1 in the occurrence and development of multiple diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
Circadian rhythm, an inherent 24-hour periodic rhythm in organisms, is regulated by circadian clock genes. As a key component of the transcription-translation feedback loop, the core circadian gene period (PER) 1, not only maintains circadian rhythm ...

Tropospheric Ozone Assessment Report : Present-day ozone distribution and trends relevant to human health

open access: yes, 2018
This study quantifies the present-day global and regional distributions (2010–2014) and trends (2000–2014) for five ozone metrics relevant for short-term and long-term human exposure. These metrics, calculated by the Tropospheric Ozone Assessment Report,

Effects of Ground Level Ozone on Vegetation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
All the experiments conducted in this project use ozone exposures that either are already currently occurring or are expected to occur over UK uplands this century, if predictions of increasing „background‟ ozone exposure are correct.
