Effect of p-aminophenols on tyrosinase activity

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2014
Tyrosinase is involved in the synthesis of melanin in the skin and hair as well as neuromelanin in the brain. This rate limiting enzyme catalyzes two critical steps (reactions) in melanogenesis; the hydroxylation of tyrosine to form DOPA and the subsequent oxidation of DOPA into dopaquinone.

P-aminophenol catalysed production on supported nano-magnetite particles in fixed-bed reactor: Kinetic modelling and scale-up.

Chemosphere, 2020
The aim of this work was to investigate on the possibility to use nano-magnetite particles supported on waste biomass as heterogeneous catalyst for the production of p-aminophenol starting from a well-known pollutant, p-nitrophenol, in fixed-bed reactors.

The electrolytic preparation of p-aminophenol

Electrochimica Acta, 1969
Abstract An account is given of new methods for the electrochemical preparation of p-aminophenol by the reduction of nitrobenzene. It has been found that control of the electrode potential at a specific value using recently developed potentiostats brings about a marked improvement in the efficiency of the preparation.

Reductive alkylation of p-aminophenol

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1963
The reductive alkylation of p-aminophenol with n-butyraldehyde, isobutyraldehyde, isovaleraldehyde, propionaldehyde, and benzaldehyde has been described. Derivatives of p-aminophenol monoand dialkylated in the amino group have been obtained.

P-aminophenol Fluorescence and determination in the Presence of Acetaminophen

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1979
The spectrophotometric and fluorometric properties of the aminophenols and of several compounds related to p-aminophenol were examined. A direct spectrofluorometric method for p-aminophenol determination at trace levels in methanol was developed and evaluated for the effect of inner filtering by acetaminophen.
