Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1961Abstract The hydrolysis of N-acetyl- p -aminophenol (NAPAP) in hydrochloric acid solutions of varying strengths at 70° and in buffered aqueous solutions in the pH range of 2 to 9 has been studied. The hydrolysis appears to be hydrogen and hydroxyl ion catalyzed.

The metabolism of acetophenetidin and N-acetyl-p-aminophenol in the cat
Biochemical Pharmacology, 1966Abstract 3-Methylcholanthrene (3-MC), given to cats 24 hr before administration of acetophenetidin, stimulated the metabolism of acetophenetidin in vivo to N-acetyl- p -aminophenol (APAP). However, 3-MC pretreatment did not stimulate the metabolism of APAP in vivo in this species.
