Glove Reuse Limits in Hair Dyeing: Permeation of p‐Phenylenediamine and Aminophenols Through Natural Rubber Latex and Neoprene After Repeated Washing

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 95, Issue 3, Page 309-317, September 2026.
Disposable glove reuse reduced chemical protection during repeated hair‐dye exposure. Under ASTM F739 testing, natural‐rubber‐latex deteriorated rapidly after one reuse, whereas neoprene performed better initially but also declined over repeated cycles. Wash type had no significant effect. These findings support single‐use only and discourage the reuse

Iso‐ and Benzisothiazolinone Inhibitors of Monoacylglycerol Lipase: Exploring On‐Target Activity Through Scaffold Decoration and In Situ Warhead Generation

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
We explore covalent allosteric targeting of MGL regulatory cysteines using iso‐ and benzisothiazolinone scaffolds. Combining mechanism‐based warhead release with structure‐guided scaffold decoration to improve molecular recognition, this study probes strategies to achieve selective on‐target engagement beyond the catalytic site. Monoacylglycerol lipase

Ozone pretreatment of wastewater containing aromatics reduces antibiotic resistance genes in bioreactors: The example of p-aminophenol

open access: yesEnvironment International, 2020
Aromatic matters are widely present in wastewater, especially industrial wastewater, and may lead to a high abundance of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in wastewater treatment bioreactors and stimulate horizontal transfers of ARGs.

Process Design and Economics of Production of p-Aminophenol

open access: yes, 2021
Para-Aminophenol is one of the key chemicals required for the synthesis of Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic drug. Data shows a large fraction of India's demand for Para-Aminophenol being met through imports from China. The uncertainty in the India-China relations would affect the supply and price of this "Key Starting Material." This report is

Retro‐Hetero‐Michael Addition Strategies in Organic Synthesis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 32, 24 August 2026.
In this review, synthetic approaches to carbo‐ and heterocyclic compounds, including natural products, published in the last 15 years (2011–2025) which have either relied upon or included a retro‐hetero‐Michael addition step at any stage are discussed.

Auto‐Click Synthesis of a Copper(I)–N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Porous Organic Polymer and Its Transmetalation to Palladium(II) for Azide–Alkyne Cycloaddition and Cross‐Coupling Reactions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 23, 13 August 2026.
An azide‐functionalized Cu(I)–NHC complex acts as both a monomer and a catalyst in an auto‐click polymerization, yielding a Cu(I)–NHC polymer that can be transmetalated to Pd(II). The two materials catalyze copper‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition, C–N/C–O coupling, and Suzuki–Miyaura reactions, while copper reloading restores activity.
