ASYMPTOTIC DENSITY OF STATES OF p-BRANES
Modern Physics Letters A, 1992 The asymptotic form of the density of states for a p-brane is computed (using the semi-classical approximation for the expression of the mass formula), and a value is found which only resembles the exponential growth of black holes in the formal limit p → ∞. Some physical consequences for the thermodynamics of these objects are also presented.

Small Methods, EarlyView.Resonant four‐wave mixing (FWM) microscopy reveals a spatial modulation of the third‐order nonlinear optical response in vanadium‐doped WS2 monolayers. This robust nonlinear contrast technique tracks the preferential accumulation of vanadium dopants along the structural bisection lines of the synthesized flakes.
