Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Disjoint p$p$‐convergent operators and their adjoints

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten
AbstractFirst, we give conditions on a Banach lattice so that an operator from to any Banach space is disjoint ‐convergent if and only if is almost Dunford–Pettis. Then, we study when adjoints of positive operators between Banach lattices are disjoint ‐convergent.

Euclidean Field Theory

open access: yes, 2005
A coincise review about Euclidean (Quantum) Field Theory is presented. It deals with the general structural properties, the connections with Quantum Field Theory, the exploitation in Constructive Quantum Field Theory, and the physical interpretation ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Adelic versions of the Weierstrass approximation theorem

open access: yes, 2017
Let $\underline{E}=\prod_{p\in\mathbb{P}}E_p$ be a compact subset of $\widehat{\mathbb{Z}}=\prod_{p\in\mathbb{P}}\mathbb{Z}_p$ and denote by $\mathcal C(\underline{E},\widehat{\mathbb{Z}})$ the ring of continuous functions from $\underline{E}$ into ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Convergent validity of the Richmond Reversal Rating in relation to visual-spatial perception as measured by the SASP

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Occupational Therapy, 2018
Introduction: This study examined the convergent validity of the visual perceptual Richmond Reversal Rating (RRR) assessment, in relation to visual-spatial abilities of young school-aged children, using known-groups validity and convergent validity ...

Weak closure of Singular Abelian $L^p$-bundles in $3$ dimensions

open access: yes, 2010
We prove the closure for the sequential weak $L^p$-topology of the class of vectorfields on $B^3$ having integer flux through almost every sphere.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox
