Isobaric VLE data for the binary systems phenol + O-cresol, phenol +p-cresol, O-cresol +P-cresol and P-cresol + 2,4-xylenol

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1992
Abstract Selvam S.P., Dutt N.V.K., Balkishan Rao, I. and Subba Rao Y.V., 1992. Fluid Phase Equilibria , 78: 261-267. Isobaric boiling point data for the binary systems: phenol + o -cresol, phenol + p -cresol, o -cresol + p -cresol and p -cresol + 2,4-xylenol measured at 26.7 and 96.4 kPa are reported.

Urinary p-cresol in autism spectrum disorder

Neurotoxicology and Teratology, 2013
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neuropsychiatric disorder with onset during early childhood and life-long consequences in most cases. It is characterized by impairment in social interaction and communication, as well as by restricted patterns of interest and stereotyped behaviors. The etiology of autism is highly heterogeneous, encompassing a large

Metabolic profile analysis and kinetics of p-cresol biodegradation by an indigenous Pseudomonas citronellolis NS1 isolated from coke oven wastewater

, 2020
A p-cresol degrading bacterial strain was isolated from coke oven wastewater of an iron and steel plant industry. The isolated strain was identified as Pseudomonas citronellolis NS1 by 16S rRNA gene sequencing method.

p-Cresol biotransformation by a nitrifying consortium

Chemosphere, 2009
The oxidizing ability of a nitrifying consortium exposed to p-cresol (25 mg CL(-1)) was evaluated in batch cultures. Biotransformation of the phenolic compound was investigated by identifying the different intermediates formed. p-Cresol inhibited the ammonia-oxidizing process with a decrease of 83% in the specific rate of ammonium consumption. After 48

Structural and metabolic performance of p-cresol producing microbiota in different carbon sources.

Food Research International, 2020
p-Cresol (PC) is a potential off-flavor and carcinogenic compound that affects food flavor and safety. However, controlling the production of PC when making fermented food is hindered by a lack of knowledge of the microbial diversity and the growth ...

p-Cresol and Œstrone in Urine

Nature, 1944
THE presence of p-cresol in human urine, as well as in the urine of horses, cows and other animals, has been known for a long time. It occurs mainly as a salt of p-tolylsulphuric acid. According to Siegfried and Zimmermann1, the average concentration of p-cresol in normal human urine is of the order of 18 mgm.

Adsorptive removal of p-cresol and creatinine from simulated serum using porous polyethersulfone mixed-matrix membranes

, 2020
In this study, porous polyethersulfone mixed-matrix membranes incorporating the adsorbents activated carbon (AC), zeolite ZSM-5, and graphene oxide (GO) were prepared via non-solvent-induced phase inversion.

Effects of the oral adsorbent AST-120 on fecal p-cresol and indole levels and on the gut microbiota composition.

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications - BBRC, 2020
In chronic kidney disease, elevated levels of circulating uremic toxins are associated with a variety of symptoms and organ dysfunction. Indoxyl sulfate (IS) and p-cresyl sulfate (pCS) are microbiota-derived metabolites and representative uremic toxins ...
