Mesoporous hydroxyapatite derived from surfactant-templating system for p-Cresol adsorption: Physicochemical properties, formation process and adsorption performance

Powder Technology, 2019
Mesoporous hydroxyapatite is proposed in this study as an adsorbent to be applied in conjunction with current dialysis system as a viable para-Cresol (p-Cresol) removal agent.

Preparation of Fe promoted MoS2 catalysts for the hydrodeoxygenation of p-cresol as a model compound of lignin-derived bio-oil

Biomass & Bioenergy, 2019
Fe promoted MoS2 catalysts were prepared by one-step hydrothermal method and then applied into the hydrodeoxygenation (HDO) of p-cresol as a model compound of lignin-derived bio-oil. The as-prepared samples had FeS2 and MoS2 phases with low crystallinity.

Catalytic alkylation of p-cresol with dipropenyl

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1963
1. Alkylation of p-cresol with dipropenyl in the presence of ethylsulfuric acid and zinc chloride on aluminum oxide takes place more readily than alkylation with divinyl and piperylene. 2. The reaction proceeds as a C-alkylation; formation of neutral products of cyclization of isohexenyl-pcresol has not been detected.

Preparation and characterization of imprinted zeolite-Y for p-cresol removal in haemodialysis.

Materials Science and Engineering C: Materials for Biological Applications, 2019
In this work, the novel imprinted zeolite (IZ) was synthesized, and its properties and performance in terms of adsorption of p-Cresol, which represent the protein-bounded uremic toxins in aqueous phase under phosphate buffer saline, were studied and ...

Effect of Lactobacillus Rhamnosus on serum uremic toxins (phenol and P-Cresol) in hemodialysis patients: A double blind randomized clinical trial.

Clinical Nutrition ESPEN, 2018
BACKGROUND Uremic toxins such as p-cresol and phenol are suggested to be associated with higher mortality in hemodialysis patients. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of probiotics on some serum uremic toxin levels in hemodialysis ...

The vibrational spectra of p-cresol

Spectrochimica Acta, 1965
Abstract The infrared and Raman spectra of p-cresol have been obtained and a complete vibrational assignment of this molecule has been made. Three deuterated derivatives of p-cresol have been prepared. The infrared and Raman spectra of the deuterated species have also been studied and the assignments of these molecules were used to substantiate the ...
