Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

DC to GHz measurements of a near-ideal 2D material: P+ monolayers
P+ monolayers in Si are of great scientific and technological interest, both intrinsically as a material in the “ideal vacuum” of crystalline Si and because they are showing great promise as qubits of electron and nuclear spin.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

P-ideals and PMP-ideals in commutative rings
Summary: Recently, P-ideals have been studied in \(C(X)\) by some authors. In this article we investigate P-ideals and a new concept PMP-ideal in commutative rings. We show that \(I\) is a P-ideal (resp., PMP-ideal) in \(R\) if and only if every prime ideal of \(R\) which does not contain \(I\) is a maximal (resp., minimal prime) ideal of \(R\).

Algorithms and computations for foldedness of P-ideals in BCI-algebras
Connections between \(n\)-fold P-ideals and fuzzy point \(n\)-fold P-ideals of BCI-algebras are described. Short algorithms for computations of such ideals are presented.

Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

A molecular perovskite solid solution with piezoelectricity stronger than lead zirconate titanate
A flexible strategy for piezoelectrics Piezoelectric materials produce charge when they are deformed, making them ideal for various types of sensors. However, virtually all piezoelectric materials are ceramics, which are far from ideal for applications ...
