MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

A class of totally positive P-matrices whose inverses are M-matrices
AbstractIn this work we introduce some technical conditions to prove that a P-matrix has an inverse M-matrix. We study a class of totally positive P-matrices whose inverses are M-matrices.

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

Power-law deformation of wishart-laguerre ensembles of random matrices
We introduce a one-parameter deformation of the Wishart-Laguerre or chiral ensembles of positive definite random matrices with Dyson index beta=1,2 and 4.

Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Superstatistical generalisations of Wishart-Laguerre ensembles of random matrices
Using Beck and Cohen's superstatistics, we introduce in a systematic way a family of generalized Wishart–Laguerre ensembles of random matrices with Dyson index β = 1, 2 and 4. The entries of the data matrix are Gaussian random variables whose variances η

Nonexpansive Matrices with Applications to Solutions of Linear Systems by Fixed Point Iterations
We characterize (i) matrices which are nonexpansive with respect to some matrix norms, and (ii) matrices whose average iterates approach zero or are bounded. Then we apply these results to iterative solutions of a system of linear equations.
