Abstract Single crystals of aminoguanidinium p-nitrophenolate: p-nitrophenol (AGPNP) were grown by slow-evaporation method and the crystal structure of AGPNP was confirmed by Single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. Spectral analyses such as FT-IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR were carried out in order to detect the functional groups and find out the ...

p-Nitrophenol Biodegradation by Aerobic Microbial Granules
Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology, 2012Mixed microbial consortia in the form of aerobic microbial granules (AMG) capable of xenobiotic degradation can be developed from activated sludge or by adaptation of microbial granules pre-grown on labile carbon sources. Both of these approaches were investigated for the cultivation of AMG capable of p-nitrophenol (PNP) biodegradation.

Electrochemical degradation of p-nitrophenol with different processes
Journal of Environmental Sciences, 2010The electrochemical degradation of p-nitrophenol (PNP) under different conditions was investigated. The electrochemical behavior of PNP and its reduction product p-aminophenol (PAP) on stainless steel cathode and Ti/Pt anode through cyclic voltammetry were observed.

Kinetics of Biodegradation of p-Nitrophenol by Different Bacteria
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2000Three bacterial species, i.e., Ralstonia sp. SJ98, Arthrobacter protophormiae RKJ100, and Burkholderia cepacia RKJ200, have been examined for their efficiency and kinetics behavior toward PNP degradation. All the three bacteria utilized PNP as the sole source of carbon, nitrogen, and energy. The rates of radiolabeled [U-(14)C]PNP degradation by all the

Intestinal elimination of p-nitrophenol in the rat.
Acta physiologica Hungarica, 1997The intestinal metabolism and metabolite transport of p-nitrophenol (PNP), as a model compound have been investigated in an in vivo isolated intestinal loop preparation in the rat. Different PNP concentrations (20 microM, 100 microM and 500 microM) were recirculated to determine the formation and transport of PNP-metabolites (PNP-glucuronide: PNP-G and

Structure of sodium p-nitrophenolate dihydrate

Hydrogen bonding interactions of p-nitrophenol
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1970Abstract The thermodynamic parameters of the formation of the 1:1 hydrogen bonded complex of p-nitrophenol with dioxane, triethylamine and n-butylamine in cyclohexane, were determined by ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy: −ΔH = 7.03, 10.1, 9.21 kcal.mole−1, −ΔG = 2.41, 4.18, 4.44 kcaLmole−1 and −ΔS = 15.5, 19.8, 16.0 e.u., respectively.

Mechanisms of the Reaction of Ozone with p-Nitrophenol
Ozone: Science & Engineering, 2001Abstract A study was undertaken to identify the intermediates formed during the ozonation of p-nitrophenol. Several hydroxylated aromatics, carboxylic acids, nitrate ion and polymerization of the phenolics were observed in the reaction. 4-Nitrocatechol was identified by a method of acetylation with subsequent GC/MS analysis.

Wet-air oxidation of p-nitrophenol
Reaction Kinetics and Catalysis Letters, 2005Wet air oxidation rates of p-nitrophenol in the presence of excess oxygen, at different temperatures and oxygen pressures conditions were investigated. The experiments were carried out at between 120 and 200oC and at 1.0-3.0 MPa partial pressures of oxygen, in a glass vessel inserted in a stainless steel reactor. Initial p-nitrophenol concentration was
