p21-Activated Kinase Inhibitors

2013
The p21-activated kinases (PAKs) are Ser/Thr kinases in the STE20 kinase family with important roles in regulating cytoskeletal organization, cell migration, and signaling. The PAK enzyme family comprises six members subdivided into two groups: Group I, represented by PAK1, 2, and 3, and Group II, represented by PAK 4, 5, and 6, based on sequence and ...

p21-activated kinases in cancer

Nature Reviews Cancer, 2006
The pivotal role of kinases in signal transduction and cellular regulation has lent them considerable appeal as pharmacological targets across a broad spectrum of cancers. p21-activated kinases (Paks) are serine/threonine kinases that function as downstream nodes for various oncogenic signalling pathways.

Sotos syndrome and de novo balanced autosomal translocation (t(3;6)(p21;p21))

Clinical Genetics, 1990
In this report we describe a 6‐year‐old boy with Sotos syndrome and a de novo apparently balanced 3/6 translocation (karyotype: 46,XY,t(3;6)(p21;p21)). Pre‐ and postnatal overgrowth are observed in an increasing number of conditions of variable etiology.

General structural features of centric and acentric polymorphic pairs of organic molecular crystals: II. Polymorphic pairs P21/c-P21, P21/c-Pc, and P21/c-Pna21

Crystallography Reports, 2003
A systematic investigation into the general structural features of centric and acentric polymorphic pairs of organic molecular crystals is performed using the data available in the Cambridge Structural Database. The structural aspects of the P21/c-P21, P21/c-Pc, and P21/c-Pna21 polymorphic pairs are considered.
