Recent results on (p,q)-Laplacian type equations

open access: yes, 2017
Start ing from a new sum decomposit ion of W1,p(RN ) ∩W1,q(RN ) and using a variat ional approach, we invest igate the existence of mult ipleweak solut ions of a (p, q)–Laplacian equat ion on RN , for 1 < q < p < N , with a sign–changing potent ial ...

Q-Q plots of enriched alleles.

open access: yes, 2018
Q-Q plots of Crohn’s disease association for AJ enriched A) protein-altering (protein-truncating and missense) and B) synonymous alleles in GWAS regions; and AJ enriched C) protein-altering and D) synonymous alleles outside of GWAS regions.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Spherical Functions on SO0(p, q) / SO(p) × SO(q)

open access: yes, 2014
. An integral formula is derived for the spherical functions on the symmetric space G/K = SO0(p, q) / SO(p) × SO(q). This formula allows us to state some results about the analytic continuation of the spherical functions to a tubular neighbourhood of ...

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

The convergence of (p,q) $(p,q)$-Bernstein operators for the Cauchy kernel with a pole via divided difference

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this paper, some qualitative approximation results for the (p,q) $(p,q)$-Bernstein operators Bp,qn(f;x) $B_{p,q}^{n}(f;x)$ are obtained for the Cauchy kernel 1x−α $\frac{1}{x-\alpha }$ with a pole α∈[0,1] $\alpha \in {}[ 0,1]$ for q>p>1 $q>p>1$.

The second Hyper-Zagreb index of VC5C7 [p, q] and HC5C7 [p, q] nanotubes

open access: yes
The first and second Hyper-Zagreb indices are the molecular descriptors that describe the structures of chemical compounds and they help us to predict certain physicochemical properties. In this paper, we studied the first and second Hyper-Zagreb indices
